Please explain the concept around the analog output of the 4202 or 4102. Why am I not getting current out of the analog output of my 4202?
The analog output on the SCADASense transmitters is a sinking type and not a source. This analog output limits the current though a loop to a range of 0-20mA. There must be an independent voltage source applied through a load, which then connects to the analog output of this transmitter. The load can be any current device that allows a 0-20mA current flow through it. It can also be a differential (floating and not referenced to ground) analog input of another device.
