SCADAPack Vision Inrush Limiter Features

The SCADAPack Vision 10 and Vision 50 operator interfaces are designed to work with SCADAPack controllers. The SCADAPack Vision is powered from 5VDC that is supplied by the SCADAPack COM ports.

The SCADAPack Vision has internal capacitance on the 5VDC power input circuitry. When the SCADAPack Vision is first connected to a SCADAPack COM port, with the 5VDC enabled, the internal SCADAPack Vision capacitance may momentarily disturb the SCADAPack operation. The result is typically a Reset of the SCADAPack controller due to the sudden, momentary drop in the 5VDC level.

The SCADAPack Vision Inrush Limiter allows the connection to a live (5VDC powered) SCADAPack COM port by limiting the current flow into the SCADAPack Vision. The 5VDC power in the SCADAPack remains undisturbed.

The SCADAPack Inrush Limiter has a DB9 connecter at one end for connection to the SCADAPack Vision and a RJ-45 connector at the other end for connection to the SCADAPack controller.
