This Release Note describes changes included in SOLARPack firmware version 2.00. A very limited number of SOLARPacks were shipped with firmware version 1.00.
The expected availability of SOLARPack Firmware version 2.00 is December 15, 2006.

SOLARPack Firmware 2.00

Under conditions where the batteries are fully discharged and remain discharged for an extended period of time the batteries will develop high internal resistance. This high resistance can result in the batteries not being recharged.

SOLARPack firmware version 2.00 addresses this issue and ensures batteries will be recharged even when left fully discharged for extended periods.

SOLARPack Firmware Upgrade Procedure

The SOLARPack firmware must be upgraded at the factory. Contact Control Microsystems Technical Support, at the coordinates below, to arrange to have the SOLARPack firmware upgraded.
