General Information

This note describes the changes made to selected Accutech Firmware version 1.86 released on July 20, 2010.

Changes Made

  • AM20 RF board firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR10 RF board firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR20 RF board firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86 (US, AU, NZ).
  • FL10 RF board firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86 (US, AU, NZ).
  • SI10 RF board firmware 1.71 replaced with version 1.86 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR10, BR20 Modbus firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86
  • BR10, BR20 Stream firmware 1.85 replaced with version 1.86
Custom switch input unit WI-SI-S-Y6-256 is obsolete. The 255 channel functionality is now included in the standard AC-SI10.

New Features

  • SI10 counter and remote output control support
  • There are now three device types for SI10 field units which must be selected at the factory (using SET Diagnostics). Device type 47 is new.
    • Device type 26 - Switch Input Field Unit
    • Device type 27 - Switch Input/Output Field Unit
    • Device type 47 - Switch Input Field Unit With Remote Controlled Outputs
  • BR10 and BR20 base radios support
    • Extended Modbus Addressing
    • Configurable Modbus floating-point register word and byte order
    • 1 or 2 stop bits
    • Base radio identification and firmware version in Accutech Manager
  • BR20 base radios also support
    • Remote control of outputs through Modbus where the field unit supports this. This feature requires implementation of ECN 1337.

Improvements Made

  • AM20: Unused code taking code space
  • Display version and unit type on LCD
  • Report field unit configuration status
  • 1 or 2 stop bits option for Modbus
  • Modbus port floating point order
  • Faster default transmit rate to improve RF synchronization in marginal circumstances

Issues Resolved

  • Modbus Slave does not update BR status bit
  • Neither Accutech Mgr nor SI10's local display has access to Smart Rate Deadband or Smart Smoothing Time
  • Default value for AP10 Smart Rate Deadband is incorrect
  • SI10: Check Deadband function does not check if SmartRate enabled
  • Configuration is not written to field unit
