General Information

This note describes the changes made to selected Accutech Firmware version 1.85 released on February 26, 2010.

Changes Made

  • AM20 RF board firmware 1.77 and 1.81 replaced with version 1.85 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR10 RF board firmware 1.71 and 1.80 replaced with version 1.85 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR20 RF board firmware 1.71 replaced with version 1.85 (US, AU, NZ).
  • FL10 RF board firmware 1.76A replaced with version 1.85 (US, AU, NZ).
  • TM10 RF board firmware 1.75 replaced with version 1.85 (US, AU, NZ).
  • BR10, BR20 Modbus firmware 1.76 replaced with version 1.85
  • BR10, BR20 Stream firmware 1.71 replaced with version 1.85
  • TM10 Sensor board firmware 1.75 repalced with version 1.85
  • BR10, BR20 Modbus and Stream boot loader 1.70 rpalced with versin 1.85
  • AM20, BR10, BR20, FL10, TM10 RF boot loader 1.70 replaecd with version 1.85
AM20-256 is obsolete. All AM20 units will use version 1.85 firmware.WI-BR-I-XP-MOD-255 is obsolete. All base radios will use version 1.85 firmware. A legacy mode is provided for compatibility with version 1.81 base radio firmware.

New Features

  • AM20 - added power mode configuration (lower power when communication fails)
  • AM20 - Added Smart Rate and Smart smoothing
  • Added support for 255 RF Channels
    • This feature includes Legacy mode for 1.80 base radio compatibility.
    • Legacy mode can be enabled only using the factory menu and is not available to end users.
  • Added TX PWR option in the FACTORY menu.
    • This option can be enabled only using the factory menu and is not available to end users.

Improvements Made

  • Improved low battery alarm to provide customers with more time to replace batteries
  • Firmware for Australia and New Zealand released
  • New default values for better power consumption
  • Adjust AM20 A/D sampling speed to lower power consumption
  • Report TM10 failsafe temperature value when sensor communication fails

Issues Resolved

  • Turbine Flow Meter Data Window not updating state fields
  • Low Battery Alarm displayed on Local Display - Accutech Manager shows Device OK.
  • Normal transmit rate default value is set incorrectly when connecting to base radio
