Please read the information below prior to installing ClearSCADA 2007 R1.4 for important information on any known issues.

• Repair/Modify Installation
  A compatibility issue between SafeNet Dongle Drivers and Internet Explorer Version 8 will cause a Repair or Modification of an installation to fail if Internet Explorer 8 is installed on the following operating systems.
  • Windows 2000 Server
  • Windows XP
  • Windows Server 2003

The following compatibility error is displayed by the installer in such a case

In this case, the installed ClearSCADA version should be Removed and a clean installation performed. System settings (apart from selection of installed components in the installer) will be maintained across installations.

• On a clean install on Windows Vista, ViewX will not be able to create a default system when it is first run, unless it is run as Administrator.
  In this case, or if there is no server running on the local machine, the ClearSCADA Client control panel applet will be displayed.
• User favorites cannot be exported from ClearSCADA 2007 R1.4 to previous versions (ClearSCADA 2007 R0.x) due to a change in format to support the super favourites feature.
