Licensing

Un-licensed Evaluation Mode

ClearSCADA will operate in a evaluation mode for up to 2 hours. All drivers are enabled. The historian is limited while operating in evaluation mode to return only the last 2 hours of data. All data can be retrieved if the software is later licensed.

Timed License

It is possible for a ClearSCADA license to have an expiry date or time of use limitation and this may be issued for the purpose of emergency support or in-depth system evaluation. When this time has expired the server will revert to the un-licensed evaluation mode.

Licensed Mode

ClearSCADA has a flexible licensing system that allows the server computer and the client computer to be individually licensed. A server computer must be licensed to run without the limitations of the evaluation mode. The local ViewX client will be able to connect to the server. Alternatively a remote client must be licensed to connect to a server on another machine. The license for both client and server may be delivered by USB dongle or software file license depending on the
